This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how Norse Interiors Inc (“Norse”) collects and processes the information that you share when you use this website (the "Site"). Before submitting information to the Service, please review this Privacy Policy carefully. By using or accessing the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

1.1 When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”. We collect information (i) from you directly; (ii) from third parties, and (iii) automatically when you use our Site. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

  1. Account and Profile Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, contact information, and other information you provide.
     
  2. Public Content: We collect and store the information that you post to the Site, including your photos, comments, designs, and profile information.

  3. Communications. When you communicate with us, we may maintain a record of your communication (including call recordings). Norse may also enable you to connect, at your initiation, with third-party providers of products and services who you wish to contact outside of the Site; any such information you submit or send to third parties in this manner, including your personal email address, is not subject to this Privacy Policy.

  4. Transactional Information. If you purchase products on the Site, we collect certain information in order to process your requests, such as your phone number, address, email, and credit card or bank account information. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

  5. Site Activity and Automatically Collected Information. We collect and may store information about your use of the Site, such as your search activity, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. 

  6. We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

    - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

    - “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

1.3 We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If Norse learns that a child under the age of 13 has submitted Personal Information online without parental consent, we will take all reasonable measures to delete the information as soon as possible and to not use such information for any purpose, except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others as required or allowed by law. 2.1 We may use the information we collect for purposes such as to provide the Site’s functionality; improve the Site’s quality; personalize your experience; tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you; offer location customization, personalized help and suggestions; track usage of the Site; facilitate the fulfillment of your orders placed through the Site; provide feedback to businesses and professionals whose products or services are listed on the Site; process, store, and deliver your communications; provide customer service; improve our products and services; conduct quality control and spam and fraud prevention activities; display relevant advertising (on our Site and third party sites); evaluate the success of our advertising; provide customer support; communicate with you about your use of the Site and any orders; respond to your inquiries and requests; send you marketing communications and otherwise message you; back up our systems and allow for disaster recovery; enhance the security of the Site; fulfill transactions authorized by you on the Site; use as otherwise requested or consented to by you; and to comply with legal obligations.

2.2 We use the information we collect to better understand how users access and use our Site, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve our Site, respond to user desires and preferences, develop additional products and services, and for other research and analytical purposes. From time to time, we may also offer contests or promotions and will use the information we collect to administer such contests, promotions, and surveys, to analyze the results for research purposes, and to comply with legal requirements related to such contests and promotions.

  1. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

3.1 We do not rent or sell your personal contact information (such as your email address associated with your account registration) to third-parties to use for their own marketing purposes. We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

  1. COMMUNICATION

4.1 When you create an account, you can opt into receiving Norse newsletter about the offerings and features on the Site. You can manage your email in account settings, but note that you cannot opt out of receiving certain administrative or legal notices from us.

  1. ONLINE IDENTIFICATION TOOLS

5.1 We, and third parties we interact with, including our third party service providers, use cookies in connection with your use of the Site and third party websites. Cookies are small data files that may have unique identifiers, and reside, among other places, on your computer or mobile device, in emails we send to you, and on our Site. We also use web beacons for similar purposes on our Site, and in HTML e-mails to our customers (e.g., to help us track e-mail response rates, identify when our e-mails are viewed, and track whether our e-mails are forwarded). In addition, we may use local shared objects (sometimes called "flash cookies"), javascript, log files, and similar technologies (together with cookies and web beacons, collectively referred to as “Cookies” in this policy, to track and analyze site usage and facilitate advertising on our Site and third-party sites.

5.2 We may use Cookies to collect or transmit information about you and your use of the Site or third-party sites, such as: your browser type, search preferences, data relating to advertisements that have been displayed to you or that you have clicked on, your interests on our Site and other sites, and the date and time of your use. When we use Cookies, we do so in order to further Site features and processes, provide authentication and security for your transactions on the Site, store your preferences, facilitate relevant advertising, and help us learn more about how users engage with the Site and understand your activities after you leave our Site. Our Cookies may be persistent or stored only during an individual session.

5.3 You may opt-out of tracking by third parties for certain advertising purpose, which can help you control targeted advertising by third-parties that track your activities across sites. 5.4 Third-Party Analytics. We also use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate usage of our Sites and the services we provide. We use these tools to gather non-personal information about users to help us improve our services, performance and user experiences. These analytics providers may use Cookies to perform their services and may combine the information that they collect about you on our Site with other information that they have collected. This policy does not cover such third parties’ use of the data.

  1. THIRD PARTY

6.1 Widgets: The Site also may include an activity feed, social media buttons, and widgets, such as the Facebook "Like" button or the "Share This" button. These features may collect and display your Personal Information, your IP address and the page you are visiting on the Service and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. These features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the Service and your interactions with them are governed by the privacy policy of the third party that provides the feature.

6.2 Advertising: We work with third parties such as network advertisers to serve advertisements on third-party websites or other media, and to evaluate the success of our advertising campaigns, including Facebook, Google, and others. Third-party ad network providers, advertisers, sponsors and/or traffic measurement services may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash LSOs and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content to you. This enables us and these third parties to target advertisements to you for products and services in which you might be interested, based on your activities on our Site and other websites. These third-party cookies and other technologies are governed by each third party’s specific privacy policy, not this one. We may provide these third-party advertisers with information about members, or allow them to collect certain information through our Site (e.g., IP address and demographic information), but we do not disclose your name, contact information or other personally identifiable information.

  1. ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

7.1 You have certain choices about how to control your data, including publicly displayed profile information, communications settings, network linking, and opting out of tracking by third- parties for certain advertising purposes. These choices are described throughout this privacy policy in the relevant sections. Further, you may modify any account information that you have submitted by logging into your account and updating your profile information. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified or deleted may continue to reside in our systems for a period of time, and we may maintain copies as part of our business records.

  1. ACCOUNT TERMINATION AND DATA RETENTION

8.1 When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. You can close your account at any time by going to account settings. When you close your account, you will cease to provide ongoing or future data to us. Your public profile will be deactivated. However, unless prohibited by applicable law, postings or comments you provided to the Site prior to closing your account, will remain public. We also may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this privacy policy, including a copy of your account information as part of our business records, unless prohibited by law. 

8.2 If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

8.3 Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

9.1 We have instituted reasonable safeguards to help ensure that information collected is secure. We also take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties who work with us to make the Site (including the software, applications, and services provided on the Site) available to you agree to protect personal information that they must access in order to serve you and to honor your preferences about contacts you receive.

9.2 When you send or otherwise transmit your sensitive information (such as your credit card number) to or through the Sites, your sensitive information is encrypted and protected with SSL, the current industry-standard encryption protocol. When you are on an SSL-protected page, a picture of a closed lock appears at the bottom or top of some web browsers. Another way to tell if you are on a secure page is to check the URL or address of the page. (Look in the address box or right-click on the page and select "Properties".) These secure SSL-encrypted pages have URLs that start with "https://".

Without limiting the terms of our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, you understand that we do not guarantee that your use of the Site and/or information provided by you will be private or secure and we are not responsible or liable to you for any lack of privacy or security you may experience. You are fully responsible for taking precautions and providing security measures best suited for your situation and intended use of the Site. You also understand that any information provided by you or collected by us or our agents in connection with your use of the Site will be used in the manner described in our Terms of Use. 10.1 Our Site contains links to other sites that are not controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.   1. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

11.1 We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices. When we post modifications to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. The modified Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the posting of the modified Privacy Policy constitutes your agreement to abide and be bound by it. If we make any material change, we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Service prior to the change becoming effective.
